Standards and requirements for interior lighting in schools

The parameters of interior lighting in schools and educational institutions are regulated by the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor:

  1. The overall brightness should not exceed 5,000 cd/m2;
  2. The uneven brightness of the outlet of the lamp should correspond to the value of 5:1;
  3. It is not recommended to use LEDs with a power of more than 0.3 W;
  4. The protective angle of the lamp should not be less than 90 degrees.

The recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor are aimed at reducing the overall brightness and glare LED lighting.

In dining rooms, it is important to create a comfortable environment so that students can relax during their lunch break. For this purpose, the power of the lamps and the type of lighting fixtures are selected taking into account the design of the canteen and architectural features. The recommended color temperature for school and university canteens should be within 3,000 K.

Lighting of the sports and assembly hall

For gyms, lamps are selected based on the most uniform illumination of the entire interior space. This is important for photo and video shooting, active ball games: football, volleyball, basketball. The light should be bright, but not blind young athletes, disrupting their coordination.
