Features of street lighting installation

Installation of street lighting is a complex process, for the implementation of which a team of specialists (lighting engineers, electricians, fitters) is involved. LED lamps are mounted on ready-made structures or with the installation of supports.

When developing a project, lighting engineers take into account the parameters of existing supports (if installed), the presence of an electrical network, terrain features, lamp power requirements, and the need to use lighting control systems. The design documentation includes calculations of reinforcement structures and supports, cable and wire connection diagrams, the type and location of lighting fixtures, and much more.

The list of works on installing street lighting includes:

Dismantling old supports (if necessary).
Arrangement of a pit for the supporting structure and digging trenches for laying the cable.
Laying the cable (for such work, prior approval from utility services is required so as not to disrupt other communications laid at the installation site).
