- Accent lighting to highlight individual interior elements and products in store windows. Accent shop window lighting – 400 lux.
- Emergency lighting to meet safety requirements and mark evacuation exits.

Interior lighting design principles:
- The light should not be blinding and distort the buyer's perception of the product. For the checkout area and common areas, the illumination standards are 300-500 lux.
- For sales areas, the illumination level is 500-700 lux according to SP. 52.13330.2011.
- Retail areas with non-food products use 3000K light with an illumination standard of 1000 lux.
- For grocery hypermarkets, 4000K light is used.
